PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Allegheny County Health Department announced Thursday that it will begin administering the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at the Castle Shannon Clinic starting next week.

The county health department received four vaccination trays for the first shots, and while this is a two-shot series, the second can be done in a 21- to 42-day window.
Limited first-dose appointments will be available at the Castle Shannon site for people 65 and older and only the week of March 1st.

Registrations for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at Castle Shannon VFD Banquet Hall will be open on the county website today at 9:00 p.m.
No on-site registration or registration will be allowed and anyone who does not meet the criteria will be wasted.
