Volkswagen says goodbye to the Gulf made in Mexico

The Volkswagen brand has put an end to the production of one of its most iconic cars, the Golf that was manufactured at the plant in Puebla, Mexico, to give way to a new global strategy for the shipowner.

Instead of the Golf and after seven years of making it by poblanas hands, Volkswagen will begin the production of the Taos with modern facilities and spaces that leaves the hatchback.

The broadcast via YouTube saw the departure of the last Gulf assembly line made in Mexico. It should be noted that with the eighth generation of the product, it is still being built in Germany.

The Gulf and all its generations made a very special tour in a caravan around the village capital this afternoon.
