Among the announcements: some fans will be able to attend sporting events.
However, the Commissioner of Health, Dr. Thomas Farley said relaxed restraints depend on uniform and universal use of masks.
The following will take effect on Monday, March 1:
SPORTS EVENTS
-Meetings will be allowed up to state limits
-2,500 people in total at outdoor events, 500 people in total at indoor events
“If the state relaxes its boundaries even more, we will consider whether we want to equalize it,” Farley said. “We are one step away from returning to normalcy.”
This is good news for Phillies fans, as Citizens Bank Park is an outdoor venue. The Phillies ’home opening is April 1 and season tickets are on sale.
However, fans will still not be able to enter the Wells Fargo Center for Sixers and Flyers.
The total number of people allowed includes not only fans, but also employees. The WFC said it requires more than 500 employees on site for a game when fans are present.
“We are in direct communication with city and state officials to determine when we can further increase our capacity and welcome fans to the arena,” said Valerie Camillo, president of business operations at Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center.
RESTAURANTS
-Up to 6 people allowed per outdoor table and it is not mandatory that they are from the same household
-Current internal capacity limits and requirements still apply
SHOPS IN RETAIL
-Increase to 20 people for every 1000 square feet
MAJOR CENTERS
-It is allowed to open, but everyone must wear K-N95 masks or double mask
-No more than 25 people in any room or group
THEATERS
-Allows food to be served in cinemas
-Groups not exceeding 4
EVENTS CATERED
-Covered events inside are prohibited
-The outdoor event limit was increased to 100 people
RELIGIOUS SERVICES
-Increase up to 20% capacity
