Former New York Giants player Louis Nix reported his disappearance

His mother has reported Louis Nix, a former Giants defensive line man who survived a shooting in December.

Nix left his father’s house in Jacksonville, Florida, at about ten o’clock on Tuesday morning and has not returned, according to a missing person poster shared on social media.

Nix’s mother told Action News Jacksonville she believed her son was in danger “This is out of the ordinary for him.”

He said “you can’t call him because the voicemail is full and the people he talks to on a daily basis don’t hear from him, [which is] not like him. “

Nix was shot during an attempted robbery while airing the tires of his vehicle at a Jacksonville gas station in December.

“I’m alive everyone,” Nix wrote on Twitter on Dec. 9. “The bullet that hit me bounced my sternum in my lung. Surgery is the next step, so keep praying for me. Thank you all for the positive energy and prayers.”

Nix’s mother said she doesn’t think this is related to the previous shooting and that since then Nix “didn’t like going anywhere and watching his surroundings.”

The Jacksonville sheriff’s office had no further information on the state of Nix when he arrived at The Post

According to the missing person’s poster, anyone with information about the Nix whereabouts is asked to call the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

The 29-year-old Notre Dame product was drafted by the Texans in 2014. He played four games for the 2015 Giants after his resignations were withdrawn, but was cut off before the 2016 season began.

“OUR DAME NATION: We do our best to contact and connect with Louis Nix,” Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly said Sunday. “Louis, let us know that you are doing well or that you may need help from your family and friends of OUR LADY.”
