Elden Ring, the next FromSoftware game, has always been highly anticipated, but has recently achieved cult status, due to the Japanese developer’s silence on the matter. Just what is the status of this project? And why does it take so long to return to public view? Comments from various journalists have raised hopes that a new revelation is imminent.
First, it’s the turn of GamesBeat writer turned video game video game player Jeff Grubb: he indicated in a podcast that the game could be shown in late March. Still, he added the industry’s famous disclaimer: “I know enough to be sure, but if it was around April, I’d apologize, but I’ll keep saying you won’t wait long.”
Jason Schreier of Bloomberg echoed Grubb’s comments Twitter: “I know a lot of people are desperate for Elden Ring news. I don’t know much about it, except that it’s lagged a lot. So it is imminent to reveal again. Both sources are reliable, and while plans may obviously change behind the scenes, this seems to be the case. some some kind of update is almost certain to be about to be immediate.
