If you pay close attention to the news about games, you won’t know anything about them Valheim at this point. The new survival game was released in early February and has begun to ignite the PC world. However, if you’re someone who mainly plays on consoles, you may be wondering when Valheim you can go to the platform of your choice. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like you’ll have to wait for a release soon.
In a statement to GameSpot, developer Iron Gate AB said there are currently no plans to contribute Valheim to consoles. That said, the studio left the door open a bit stating that “everything is an option at this stage.” So while it’s something that could happen in the future, apparently Iron Gate doesn’t want to make console ports Valheim in the immediate future.
Still, it’s not as bad as it may seem. Many games that have started to be PC-exclusive in the past seem to one day hit consoles. And while we can’t say for sure that the same thing will happen Valheim, history tells us that there are many possibilities that it will happen someday.
Meanwhile, Iron Gate is probably much busier just trying to do it Valheim works well for players you already have. The early access title has already sold millions of copies on PC, which means Iron Gate surely has a much larger player base at its disposal than it would have initially expected. As the company continues to bring the game closer to its 1.0 iteration, perhaps its stance on console ports will begin to change.
For now, Valheim in its current form it continues to be routinely updated. In fact, one of the most recent updates to the game even made it a bit difficult.
