Luis Suarez will be available for Diego Simeone for the Madrid derby next Sunday at the Wanda Metropolitan.
The striker did not receive his fifth yellow card of the season, which is a ban on a match, in the match against Sunday Villarreal at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
Simeone waited until the 76th minute before removing the Uruguayan, and replaced Geoffrey Kondogbia.
In the other big Atlético games at home this season, against Bayern Munich and Barcelona, Suarez had to sit because of his positive coronavirus test.
He returned for the trip to Valdebebas for the reverse play against Real Madrid but it was not close to its maximum level in the 2-0 defeat.
