Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel expands into three states

Morelia.- In the last four years, the violent incursion of him New Generation Jalisco Cartel (CJNG) has increased mainly in three states: Michoacán, Zacatecas and Guanajuato.

Although the overall goal would be to expand the criminal group to establish their routes for traffic drug in the United States, In each entity the reasons for which they have been present have been different and in recent years the levels of violence in these places have increased.

In Michoacán, for example, according to different sources, the offensive is due to the fact that the leader of the organization, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, El Mencho, Seeks to seize his homeland.

In Zacatecas, the geographic location and connectivity have turned to the state into one of their objectives, since it is the forced route that connects to the Pacific Ocean with the main border zones of north of country and the United States; but in the last decade, Zacatecas has suffered the settlement of at least five cartels, mostly from the marketing of fentanyl, which has become popular on American soil and is more economical, strong and lethal than cocaine and heroin.
