TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras.- A group of 34 deputies from the National Congress support a demonstration in which they demand the immediate and irrevocable resignation of the President of the Republic, Juan Orlando Hernández in the face of acts of corruption and mismanagement of the covid-19 pandemic.
The action is promoted by the congressman of the Innovation and Unity Party (Pinu), Luis Redondo, who is supported by the other members of this political institute, most of the legislators of Freedom and Refoundation (Free), including a parliamentarian of the Liberal Party.

In addition, the document was signed by the vice president of the unicameral body, Enrique Medina Yllescas.
“From its continued and accentuated negligence to the detriment of the village with the mismanagement of the covid-19 pandemic, and the obvious precariousness in the national health system added to this the reprehensible acts of large-scale corruption in the management of resources allocated to health in Honduras “, underlines the first paragraph of the demonstration, which has no force of law and could only be read in a virtual legislative session.
