Detailed DLC for the Yuffie remake of Final Fantasy VII, which will last two chapters

DLC for Final Fantasy VII Remake Yuffie

Square Enix has released some more detailed details about Episode Yuffie, the Final Fantasy VII Remake DLC that will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 once Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade ends this summer. As shown in the revelation trailer, you will play as the young ninja throughout this getaway and you will be accompanied by a new character named Sonon.

Sonon can’t play the battle completely, but Yuffie will be able to launch team attacks with his help. In addition, Yuffie’s giant shuriken weapon allows him to fight at any distance, which should allow for some degree of strategy.

As for the story of the Yuffie episode, all we know is that it will be split into two “chapters.” Obviously, we don’t know how long these chapters will last, but if it’s something similar to the main game, we’d probably bet this DLC will have a maximum of a few hours. I hope it is entertaining as long as it lasts.

We also don’t know how expensive the Yuffie episode will be, only that it has to be bought separately from Remake Intergrade. We will definitely get a lot more information in the coming months.

Oh, and this nervous-looking guy with the crazy hair in the trailer? It is possible that the most dedicated fans have already recognized it: it’s called Weiss and is from the sad title of the PS2 Dirge of Cerberus. Fortunately, Weiss doesn’t seem to be part of the DLC narrative. Instead, he is ready to be a powerful boss with whom you can fight in the virtual reality of the game. Ugh.
