But at least five teams have called on the Houston Texans to inquire about a possible trade from quarterback Deshaun Watson, Houston Chronicle’s John McClain told “BMitch and Finlay” on Tuesday at 106.7 The Fan in Washington.
The teams that called were not disclosed, but McClain, who has covered the NFL in the Chronicle for 45 years, believes that if new Texans general manager Nick Caserio doesn’t believe Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa is a franchise that calls the signal, the best trade fit is with the Jets.
“This is the only way to secure the second-best quarterback behind Trevor Lawrence; that could be Zach Wilson, ”McClain said.
