LAS VEGAS: There was plenty of lineup development Wednesday on the Minnesota Wild’s morning skate at the T-Mobile Arena.
Zach Parise, on the ice during an excessive drive when the Vegas Golden Knights tied Monday night’s game with an additional striker, will not play in Wednesday night’s rematch. Parise will be a good risk for the first time in his Wild career and only the second time in his 16-year career in the NHL.
With the Golden Knights pushing the goal to tie two nights ago, the veteran left-back did not change lines with Nico Sturm and Marcus Foligno in his last change. Parise would end up recording 1 minute and 33 seconds on the lap and played a role in deflecting Max Pacioretty’s cross to Mark Stone.
Moments later, Stone hit Alex Tuch for the goal to tie in an eventual overtime win for Vegas.
