Florida CVS pharmacies vaccinate teachers under the age of 50 despite age limits imposed by the state on vaccine recipients.
The chain said it follows the new guidelines of the Biden administration, The Associated Press reported. Vaccine and preschool teachers were also vaccinated.
“We have aligned ourselves with the updated guidelines of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program by making appointments available to preschoolers for up to 12 educators and daycare staff and workers in the 17 states where we currently offer COVID-19 vaccines. This includes Florida,” a spokesman for CVS told The Hill in a statement.

The state is currently prioritizing vaccines for K-12 school employees aged 50 or over, residents over the age of 65, as well as people under the age of 65 who a doctor considers medically vulnerable.
