On July 24, 2020, Governor Cuomo was asked about criticism of his handling of COVID-19 in residences. Your answer:
“I think it’s a political issue. I think it’s the New York Post, I think it’s Michael Goodwin, I think it’s Bob McManus, I think it’s Fox TV. I think everything has a political motivation. If anyone looked at the facts, they would know that it was totally absurd. People died in residences. This is very unfortunate. Right on the front line, we are the number 35 in the country in percentage of deaths in residences. Go talk to 34 other states first. Now go talk to the Republican states. Florida, Texas, Arizona. Ask them what happens in the residences. It’s all politics. “
We now know why New York ranked 35th in the nation: Cuomo participated in a criminal cover-up to hide the real numbers.
That same month, state health officials were willing to say nearly 10,000 residents of nursing homes had died from coronavirus, the Wall Street Journal reports. But Cuomo and his aides removed those numbers from the report. realizing that it would destroy its entire facade of competent leadership. Didn’t those officials realize you had a self-congratulatory book to write ?!
Cuomo lied. He falsified the reports. He then blamed us, saying everything was “politically motivated”.
Because of investigations into residences and sexual harassment, Governor Cuomo resorts to his usual responses: intimidation, obstruction, “waiting for the investigation.” He swears he is innocent.
But he has proven himself a liar over and over again. How can any New Yorker ever believe a word he says?
