10 state-prioritized bay area zip codes – NBC Bay Area

California sets aside 40% of all doses of COVID-19 vaccine for people living in vulnerable zip codes with high infection rates and low incomes.

Ten of these zip codes are located in the Bay Area: two in San Francisco, one in Contra Costa County, three in Alameda County, and four in Solano County.

Postal codes are determined by income, educational level, and access to health care.

If you live in any of these areas, your county should start sending more doses to local vaccination sites.

If you have registered at myturn.ca.gov and are entitled to receive the vaccine based on your age, employment or health conditions, you will receive a text message with an access code to make an appointment.

The state says texting for new specific clinics may not begin until late March.
