The gala “dels c0v1d”, as the Malaga native said, will feature Adu, as a big favorite, the play directed by Salvador Calvo which is up to 13 nominations, including the best film.
The next films that garner the most nominations are The Girls, by Pilar Palomero, and Akelarre, by Pablo Agüero, both with nine.
Also, The Wedding of Rosa, the film by Icíar Bollaín starring Candela Peña, has won eight nominations.
The truth is that the road to this gala has been long and, in fact, it took a long time to set a date, as the Goyas are usually held in February.
And it was this same month of February when the president of the Film Academy, Mariano Barroso, announced that the nominees would not go to the celebration.
And so it will be, for the first time, there will be no audience or nominees, so it will be a hybrid ceremony with a lot of telematic presence.
And as if that weren’t enough, politicians won’t be there either, but Almodóvar, Penélope Cruz, Amenábar, Baiona, Antonio de la Torre and Betlem Cuesta will be some of the actors who will take to the stage of the Teatro de Soho CaixaBank in Málaga.
While among those who will present the nominees and reveal the names of the winners will also be Paz Vega, María Barranco, Najwa Nimri, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Carlos Areces, Julián López, Adrián Lastra, Hiba Abouk, Marta Etura, Maggie Civantos, Natalia Verbeke, Tristán Ulloa, Daniela Santiago and Jon Kortajarena, among others.
It is worth mentioning that the gala starts today, Saturday 6 March from 22:00 at the Teatro Soho in Málaga and the red carpet from 19:00.

The Goya Awards, Annual Academy Awards o The Goyas, are the awards given annually by the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, in order to reward the best professionals in each of the different specialties of Spanish cinema.
The prize consists of a bust of Francisco de Goya made in bronze by the sculptor José Luis Fernández.
The first statuette that was given was the work of the sculptor Miguel Ortiz Berrocal; it was a removable sculpture, weighing 15 kg and from which a camera came out of Goya’s bust.
But from the 4th edition, the statuette was commissioned from José Luis Fernández, developing the same bust of smaller shape and weight.
In fact, it was in imitation of the film awards given in other countries, and to reward the most outstanding works of Spanish cinema made in different categories during the year before the delivery date, which the Academy of Arts and Sciences Cinematographies of Spain decided to create the so-called Annual Awards of the “Goya” Academy.
