Meghan Markle says the royal family had “concerns” about her son’s skin color

Meghan Markle revealed Sunday night that members of the royal family discussed with Prince Harry how dark her son’s skin might be.

“There were also concerns and conversations about the darkness that the skin might have when it was born,” Markle said in her Oprah interview.

He claimed that “several” members of the royal family held talks with Harry about the potential color of Archie’s skin.

Asked about the conversation later in the interview, Harry refused to elaborate much further.

“I’ll never share this conversation, but at the time it was awkward, I was a little shocked,” he said.

But he assured that the discussion about “what the children will be like” arose “right at the beginning” of their relationship.

The first son of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archie was born in May 2019.

The Sussex are expecting their second child and revealed she will be a girl on Sunday night.
