Dustin Diamond, the star of Tragic Saved By The Bell, never legally married former Jennifer Misner, according to a recently obtained death certificate.
The actor, best known for his role as Screech in the teen high school comedy, died at the age of 44 at his home in Florida on Feb. 1 after a brief battle with lung cancer. .
But a death certificate obtained by TMZ says Diamond “never married,” even though many fans believed he had exchanged vows with Misner in 2009 before divorcing in 2013.

The actor had also worn a wedding ring before his death, but close friend Dan Block, president of Insurance Kings, has insisted the ring was just a way to show his dedication to Misner during the their relationship.
Block also told the publication that Diamond was increasingly frustrated with Wikipedia for incorrectly claiming that she had married Misner.
The actor died just three weeks after being diagnosed with small cell lung carcinoma in stage four.

Speaking of it in 2012, Diamond had referred to Misner as his wife while talking about marriage during an interview with CityTV in October 2012.

The former couple, who met in Pennsylvania, had previously suffered a heartbreak after Misner suffered a miscarriage in 2004.
Diamond’s latest girlfriend, known as Tash, 39, told DailyMail.com exclusively: “It was the love of my life. We had a future planned together and we often talked about having children. I’m heartbroken.

He also shared exclusive photos with DailyMail.com of his mini-Yorkie named Fin visiting him at the hospital and of the couple holding hands.
Tash, a certified pharmacy technician, said she is devastated and her whole world has been turned upside down. But he said he would love the last time he could talk to her, just a day before he died.
“Even though I was struggling to breathe and had difficulty speaking, he was able to get the words out of me, ‘I love you,’ I told him I loved him again.”
Tash said, “Dustin died at our friend Jules’ house in the Fort Meyers, Florida area.”

He had been hospitalized since January and had just been released around noon on Monday and medical staff had taken him to his friend’s house to attend the hospital.
Diamond was still in the front room of the house while the hospice worker and his friend Jules were preparing his bedroom, when Tash found him out of breath.
Emergency personnel declared him dead shortly afterwards.
