Monster Hunter fans have a date with a newly hatched baby Rathalos on July 9, when Capcom launches Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin for Nintendo Switch and Steam.
The original Stories of Monster Hunter came out in 2016 for the Nintendo 3DS, offering gamers a new way to interact with the powerful creatures in the series. Instead of hunting and killing, players steal monster eggs and make friends with monsters, using them to take part in turn-based battles. It’s basically something relaxed Monster Hunter game. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin makes players the descendant of a legendary monster who must solve the mystery of Rathalos’ disappearance, similar to the world dragon, alongside his own dragon friend. You can watch the new trailer in 30 minutes in the Capcom streaming video Monster Hunter early this morning event.
I’m looking forward to another more player-centric Monster Hunter experience. Almost as much as I’m looking forward to the figure of Tsukino Amiibo accompanying the release.
