Are the Chicago Bears about to make an “insane” move on the quarterback?

There’s no denying that the most entertaining part of the Chicago Bears ’low season has been the quarterback search that has spanned a couple of months and several high-profile players.

While players like Matthew Stafford and Carson Wentz have found new homes, the Bears continue to look for the team’s first quarterback in the franchise for a year where general manager Ryan Pace and head coach Matt Nagy could be out if Chicago ends. 8- 8 again.

That’s why the Bears were expected to have a big wear on the quarterback this offseason. Among the names that have been posted are Russell Wilson of Seattle and Deshaun Watson of Houston, both players who are not currently on the commercial block, according to their respective franchises.

Good morning footballKyle Brandt believes the Bears will do “something to surprise us” when it comes to quarterback position.

“I think it could be crazy,” he said.

While there are some free agent options, including Alex Smith, recently released, Brandt believes it will be a big name to which Chicago is headed.

“I don’t think the Bears quarterback is the lowest fruit,” Brandt said. “I don’t think it’s ever Carson Wentz, I don’t think it’s Alex Smith, it won’t be Mitch, it won’t be Foles. I think it will be something that will shock us in a way that JJ Watt going to the Cardinals surprised us. I don’t think people tweet about it. I think it could be crazy.

“Things are being thrown right now: Atlanta has the No. 4 pick, are they taking a quarterback? If so, what do they do with Matt Ryan? The Las Vegas Raiders, not just one of their quarterbacks, both (Derek Carr and Marcus Mariota) I think when we sit here and find out who the Bears quarterback will be, I don’t think it’s, “Oh yeah, that was what we’re talking about.” I think it’s going to be a shock, and I think they went yesterday wink ”.

While Pace has said “everything is on the table” in terms of quarterback position, it’s hard to believe Chicago would return to Nick Foles or sign Mitchell Trubisky again with Pace and Nagy jobs in 2021.

The Bears ’top two goals aren’t even available right now, which could certainly complicate the issues facing free agency and the NFL draft. If the project can’t change for someone like Wilson or Watson, do they change to select their guy?

One thing is certain: the drama of the quarterbacks has just begun.
