Relatives said she had separated from her husband and decided to leave.

As reported by this newspaper, the older adult who cared for María Deixant is the mother of Roberto Colom, the man she married to formalize her immigration status.
This Saturday, the authorities notified that they had arrested Roberto Colom and accused him of premeditated homicide in the first degree by the death of the Colombian, the body was buried in the courtyard of the man’s house.
However, in an interview with a local media a few days ago, Colom claimed to be unaware of Maria Estella’s whereabouts and even claimed that he was unable to hurt his partner.
