On Sunday, The Crown star Gillian Anderson addressed Alec Baldwin shaded his changing British-American accent, which led him to delete his Twitter account last Wednesday.
“It’s not a news article,” he told a 52-year-old bidialectal man. “But I’m sad it caused him so much anguish.”
Gillian was born in Chicago, but has lived in London since 2002 after growing up there between the ages of 2 and 11.

“A couple of people sent a text message to say something was going on,” Anderson recalled.
“I didn’t pay any attention to it because it’s just something I live for. I grew up between two countries and so it depends on who’s in my ear in which direction my accent goes. So I’m so used to it that for to me it’s kind of old news.

Gillian faces stiff competition from her own crown cast mates, Olivia Colman and Emma Corrin, in addition to Ozark duo Julia Garner and Laura Linney.
“Getting there in front of this room, whether it’s the Golden Globe room or the SAG room or whatever, is incredibly intimidating,” Anderson explained.
‘It’s intense! So, you know, being able to sit in a hotel room, sit on the couch and be alone and not see the hundreds of people, or maybe thousands of people who may be watching, is kind of a fun concert.
The entire Crown cast will also compete for the coveted featured performance of an ensemble in a drama series trophy, which is the SAG equivalent of the best film.
