A magnitude 4.8 earthquake was recorded this morning in the northeast of the island.
According to the Puerto Rico Seismic Network, the quake occurred at latitude 18.8, longitude 65.2 and 56.52 kilometers north of Culebra. It had a depth of 23 kilometers.

There is no tsunami warning for Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands.
Residents of Luquillo, Fajardo, Yabucoa, Bayamón, Carolina and Caguas reported that they felt the earthquake.
