Tests
UDOH reports that 2,257,389 Utahns have been tested so far, an increase of 6,185 people tested since yesterday.
Of these, a total of 375,669 tested positive for COVID-19. That’s an increase of 560 new positive cases since Monday’s report.
The 7-day continuous average for positive tests is 529 per day.
The seven-day average of the percentage of positivity of people over people is 8.8%. The seven-day average of the test-to-test positive percentage is 4.24%.
Hospitalizations
Currently, there are 187 people hospitalized with confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 73 of these people are in intensive care units. Another 23 patients are hospitalized with suspected cases of COVID-19.
Utah ICUs account for 66.2%. ICU beds in state reference centers are full of 67.3%.
The referral centers are Utah’s 16 hospitals with the ability to provide the best care to patients with COVID-19. Because most patients move to these facilities, their use is the best reflection of actual hospital capacity in Utah when looking at ICU beds.
