The Breeders, US Girls and Tkay Maidza share covers of 4AD’s new album: Listen

4AD reached its 40th anniversary as a label last year and, as a late celebration, has announced the new cover compilation Bills & Aches & Blues. The collection will be released digitally on April 2, with subsequent vinyl records and CDs on July 23 and a luxury vinyl box that will arrive later this year. The first five songs in the compilation are now available: listen to Tkay Maidza covering Pixies, Breeders covering His Name Is Alive, US Girls covering birthday party, Aldous Harding covering Deerhunter and Maria Somerville covering Air Miami in then.

Other artists featured in the compilation include Big Thief, Tune-Yards, Future Islands, Dry Cleaning, Jenny Hval, Bradford Cox, Black Ice Cream, Bing & Ruth and SOHN. You will find the full list of songs below.

The first year of benefits Bills & Aches & Blues goes to the Harmony Project, a Los Angeles-based extracurricular program to help communities without equitable access to arts or music education.
