The initiative presented by the deputy Mariano López, aims to defer the application of the basic decertification test of doctors, nurses, dentists and veterinarians for the end of the boarding school, so that they can comply as soon as possible with the obligation imposed by the State to comply for two years with this teaching period, supervised and evaluated in the public services of the country, and which is a requirement to obtain the suitability for the free exercise of these professions.
It establishes that for professions and careers that carry out undergraduate internships, the certification tests are applied immediately before or after the degree and then issue the suitability for the free exercise of the profession once they have passed it.
It also envisages that the state will promote internationally recognized certifications so that Panamanian health professionals, specialists and technicians can take advantage of growing employment opportunities at the international level.
