Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez break up and cancel the engagement

They will no longer be J-Rod.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have separated, Page Six has only learned.

The superstar couple was photographed last month happily embracing in the Dominican Republic, where Lopez, 51, is filming his latest film, “Shotgun Wedding.” This week’s reports said her twice-delayed wedding was back on track.

But Miami sources said on page six that the couple was on the rocks and headed to Splitsville. A source familiar with A-Rod told us about the broken couple on Friday: “He is now in Miami preparing for the baseball season and is filming his movie in the Dominican Republic.”

On Friday, A-Rod, 45, posted a photo of himself only on Instagram on a Miami yacht, grimacing and staring at his cell phone with the caption: “I don’t care, just taking a candle … What are your plans for the weekend? “(Looks like yours will be solo.)

Meanwhile, J.Lo posted a series of old clips of herself laughing at various television appearances and interviews. He subtitled the montage: “Find a good reason to laugh today … Sending love to everyone.” The clips, with a cheerful tint, came from interviews with David Letterman, Jay Leno, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Wendy Williams, as well as his appearances on “World of Dance” and “American Idol”.

Earlier in the week, she also posted an attractive solo shot of herself resting with a tunic on a deluxe bed during a shooting break.

The stars announced their engagement in 2019, after dating for more than two years.

But then they postponed the wedding twice. Lopez revealed in December: “We had to cancel the wedding … because of COVID, because of the quarantine. And we actually did it twice, something people don’t know.”

It is unclear when the problems in paradise began for the engaged couple. But the split comes as rumors that Rodriguez had been FaceTiming with “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy.

“Madison LeCroy’s scandal was the reason they finally broke up. There were already problems, but Jennifer was embarrassed,” a source told Page Six on Friday.

Sources close to A-Rod told The Post last month’s rumors: “He doesn’t know this woman,” and LeCroy said exclusively on page six that she and A-Rod “have never met,” but that yes “it is spoken by telephone”. “That’s the truth,” he said, adding that “they’ve never been physical … they’ve never had anything of the sort. Just an acquaintance.”

Then Lopez and Rodriguez stood on a united front in the middle of the scandal, going out to dinner in Miami and attending the Super Bowl together, where J.Lo had performed at the break for a year before.

In a recent interview, Lopez revealed that she and Rodriguez saw a therapist during their forties. “I think it was very helpful for us in our relationship,” Lopez said.

But apparently, it’s not enough to keep them together in the end.

Lopez had also previously said that we have to postpone the wedding: “I think we just have the feeling of ‘let’s wait.’ No hurry, we’re fine, everything is cool and it will happen when the time comes. it’s a big priority to go have a big wedding right now, it’s not about life. ”

A-Rod joked on “The Tonight Show” in April, “Some people said, ‘Maybe we have an automatic wedding? It’s going to be cheaper.’

Lopez has 12-year-old twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Rodriguez is the father of two daughters with ex-Cynthia Scurtis.

Although the couple was not married, they did have a tendency to take property and negotiate together. They reportedly bought a $ 40 million waterfront home on Star Island in Florida last summer and had already moved into a Miami home with the help of Chip and Joanna Gaines. They also bought and sold a Manhattan penthouse.

Last summer, the Hollywood star and baseball legend tried unsuccessfully to buy the Mets together, but lost a bidding war against billionaire Steve Cohen.

Both are sponsors of the TruFusion fitness brand.

Lopez’s latest film also stars Josh Duhamel, who took on the role in the film when Armie Hammer came out. He also recently launched his JLo Beauty line.

A-Rod, which works for both ESPN and Fox Sports as a broadcaster, recently unveiled $ 500 million in an IPO, with hedge fund Antara Capital, for an acquisition company Special Purpose Slam Corp.
