WR Cordarrelle Patterson Bears are unsure of their future with the team

Well, it’s been an interesting week for the Chicago Bears. They have expanded some key players, in Cairo Santos and Pat O’Donnell, along with rumors that will have a big effect on the quarterback position. There is a key player who has not yet received a contract. This player is Cordarrelle Patterson.

Patterson signed with the Bears in 2019, playing a major role on special teams, as well as being a wide receiver. In two seasons, he has been attacked 42 times, achieving 32 of those goals over 215 yards.

On the ground, Patterson saw more success last season with Tarik Cohen injured. In 81 attempts over the past two seasons, he has 335 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Patterson plays his big role in the return match, where he has been twice All-Pro. Over the past two seasons, Patterson has had two touchdowns on 63 returns. He averaged 29.2 yards per lap with 1,842 yards overall.

On Twitter, Patterson had fun with Bears fans. He has played the role of “Twitter GM,” recruiting players for the past two seasons. This time, after pushing for Russell Wilson to come to Chicago, Patterson is curious to know where he will play next season.

In a tweet to which Tarik Cohen and other Bears fans responded, Patterson said this: “Ready to see where I play next year.”

Cohen had fun offering to recruit his own GM “Twitter”.

Fans are even willing to give to pay their salary if Ryan Pace doesn’t.

Kicker Brandon McManus offered the Broncos a place, saying he should join them.

Hopefully, Patterson will continue to be a Bear next season, though his tweet wasn’t exactly reassuring. The Bears offensive has helped a lot in some important returns. Outside returning two touchdowns, he made an upside game by stepping on a rebound before touching the ball against the Packers during their Week 17 clash. This play gave Chicago the ball on the 40-yard line.
