Pokémon Legends: Arceus chose his three Pokémon Starter to tie them to the game’s historical environment. Last month he announced The Pokemon Company Pokémon Legends: Arceus, his first open world Pokémon game. The new game will take place in “Feudal Sinnoh”, located between 400 and 800 years before the current Pokémon games. Although the game will still feature many known Pokémon from the Sinnoh regions, it will use Pokémon Starter from other games instead of the traditional Sinnoh Pokémon Starter. Players will choose between Rowlet, Cyndaquil or Oshawott as the first companion Pokémon instead of the traditional Sinnoh trio of Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup.

We still don’t know much about it Pokémon Legends: Arceus apart from its overall setup and unique view of Pokémon battles. Instead of turn-based battles that take place in a separate system, players will fight in real time without any transition between the world map and the battles. Players will be tasked with exploring the Sinnoh region and gathering information for the first Pokedex in that region. As the name of the game indicates, the mythical Pokémon Arceus will participate in some way and we could see how some great additions to Pokémon mythology came out of the game.
No release date has been announced Pokémon Legends: Arceus, but the game is expected to come out in “early 2022.”
