A racist attacker punched a man in Harlem last month and hurled anti-Asian insults at him during the attack, the NYPD said Sunday.
The unidentified suspect turned to a 27-year-old man near Fred Samuel Park on Lenox Avenue, near 140th Street, around 10 p.m., Feb. 15, and pushed him, police said.
The victim asked his attacker why he pushed him and the suspect responded by punching him in the face and shouting anti-Asian insults at him, police said.
According to police, the suspect fled running to 139th Street.
Images posted on the NYPD show last saw the attacker wearing a black jacket, a black cap and a black bandana that he wore as a face mask.
He is still at large, police said.
