Puerto Rican owner André Curbelo will make his first appearance in the March Madness tournament in just his first year in the NCAA.
The natural partridge of Vega Baixa reminded on Sunday the reasons why he was chosen the best Sixth Man of his lecture by scoring a basket less than a minute of action to go to the University of Illinois at the prestigious college basketball tournament.
Illinois won 91-88 over the University of Ohio to strengthen the NCAA Big Ten Conference Championship as well.

Curbelo was the top scorer for Illinois alongside starting quarterback Ayo Dosunmu and center Kofi Cockburn with 16 points each.
“Champions of the Big 10. It’s crazy,” Curbelo exclaimed in an Instagram broadcast from the dressing room.
Curbelo -who has just been included in the ideal team of the Big Tense conference rookies also scored two important free throws to extend the dominance to five points with just 34 seconds left in extra time.
“Puerto Rico, I love them very much. They are the best. You are my gasoline. We are going hard because we are missing one more ring,” the shipowner continued, as he signed the ball with which Illinois entered the prestigious tournament.
Likewise, the Puerto Rican-rooted partridge, Trent Frazier, added 10 points, four rebounds, three assists and a block in the win.
As early as Friday, Illinois will face Drexel University in the start of March Madness.
