This offseason has been the Chicago Bears quarterback position. They’ve been involved in pretty much every quarterback trade or rumor, but there’s nothing related to them.
But Chicago’s interest in negotiating with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is something that has burned in recent weeks, where there is a firm belief that if Wilson were changed, he would end up with the Bears.
Chicago has made it clear to Seattle that they are interested in negotiating with Wilson. But while the Seahawks have been listening to those calls, they haven’t played exactly on teams like the Bears, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
According to Rapoport, we don’t seem to be close to seeing Wilson negotiate right now.
“Where we are,” he said, “nothing seems imminent.”

Wilson named the Bears as one of four potential commercial destinations, but the Seahawks must be willing to deal with their franchised quarterback. And while there have been tensions between Wilson and coach Pete Carroll, it’s hard to imagine them parting ways.
That is, except for an absolute monster of an offer that will allow them to eat $ 39 million dead and move into the 2021 season without a quarterback.
“As far as we’re concerned, several teams have called Seattle about him, including the Chicago Bears,” Rapoport said. “If Russell Wilson is to be traded, you imagine Chicago would be in the mix. They don’t currently have any starting quarterback for 2021. They’re exploring all the options, so it makes sense.
“No one I’ve talked to has said Seattle has been involved in any of these talks. They don’t seem to have actively negotiated regarding a Russell Wilson trade. They have listened, but they have not responded ”.
With the Dallas Cowboys re-signing Dak Prescott, the Las Vegas Raiders apparently committed to Derek Carr and the New Orleans Saints to close out Jameis Winston’s expansion, which would reduce Wilson’s list of favorite destinations to a team: the Bears.
If Seattle intends to change Wilson and take advantage of a desperate Chicago team, time will run out.
