Tuesday’s Twitter program confirmed that the much-loved spy thriller would come to an end with its fourth installment in 2022.
A promotional video shared on the show’s social media account also revealed that filming will begin again this summer.

Filming for the new series was previously halted due to the coronavirus pandemic, which restricted filming to the show’s various European locations.
In a backdrop of London, where the protagonist of the program was on a bridge, appeared on the screen the words “Killing Eve season four films summer 2021”.
It then premieres in 2022, oh one more thing, the final season, while the show’s themed tune was played throughout the video.
The clip was posted next to the text: “Anything worthwhile is worth the wait.”

Following the announcement, many fans of the BBC show went on social media to share their dismay that the show was coming to an end.
One person said, ‘Bittersweet! I am saddened to see that this program ends, but I respect the decision: it is best to finish the program while it still has a high level of quality.
“Long wait until the end now, but hopefully it’s worth remembering.”
Another person joked, “Last season? Are you kidding me? You can’t cancel Villanelle … she’ll kill you.
A third said, “My heart broke a little … but nothing I expected. Let’s do it. S4 I’m waiting for you.

It was announced in July that the fourth season of Killing Eve had been postponed as a result of the pandemic and the travel restrictions it has imposed.
Producers hoping to begin filming in August, just over two months after the end of season three, provoked fans with an ambiguous cliff hanger at Tower Bridge in London.
However, the original plans to move forward with a new series were scrapped due to the current health crisis.

According to Deadline, there was no “clear return date” until then.
The publication reported that the show’s producer, Sid Gentle Films, had “abandoned its plans and had yet to set a restart date by the end of that year” due to Killing Eve’s.European location shoots.
So far, the drama has been shot in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bucharest and Tuscany.

Killing Eve normally shoots in the summer until late fall and returns to the screens in the spring.
