Trump says he expects Meghan Markle to run for president in 2024

Former President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he is “not a fan” of Meghan Markle, but that he expects her to launch her rumored 2024 presidency.

Trump was asked in a Fox News interview with Maria Bartiromo about his thoughts on a possible candidacy for the executive position of Prince Harry’s American spouse, following his box office interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“Well, I hope it happens because if that happened, I think I would have an even stronger feeling of running,” Trump said.

“I’m not a fan of his. I think from what he talks about the royal family and the queen, I think I know the queen, as you know. I have met the queen and I think the queen is a tremendous person. And I’m not a fan of Meghan. “

Markle, 39, reportedly networked with Democrats and sought his own potential path to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave after an interview with Oprah on CBS in which he claimed the royal family was not supportive and was racist.

Trump said during the television interview that he will decide on a presidential race after the 2022 midterm elections. “Frankly, we will make our decision later,” he said.

Markle opposed Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and appeared to support Biden in a campaign video with her husband.

In response, Trump said during a White House coronavirus briefing, “I wish Harry good luck, because he’ll need it.”

Earlier, Trump sided with Queen Elizabeth II during the so-called #Megxit family split.

Last year, Trump tweeted: “I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen and the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada. They have now left Canada for the US, however, the United States will not pay for its security protection. They have to pay! ”
