Cardi B had to censor the spicy parts of “WAP” for his performance at the Grammys, but he’s glad he still managed to make Fox News.
Conservative chain experts have taken their pearls this week for the humorous performance of the rapper’s Sunday night awards with Megan Thee Stallion.
Right-wing commentator Candace Owens went to “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Monday to express her grievances, saying she was “terrified” that this content would lead to a “weakening of American society” and stated that “we are ready to see the end of an empire “.
“Yaaaayyyyyyy WE MADE FOX NEWS BOYS !!! Wap wap wap, “Cardi B replied that night, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar.
In a follow-up tweet on Tuesday, the rapper personally thanked Owens for giving him airtime and for increasing his sales and views on YouTube.
This resulted in a full-fledged Twitter beef. Owens grabbed the bait and criticized the rapper’s dance telling him, “You’ve become a stain of culture and what it means to be a woman.”
Owens’ complaints are nothing new. Conservatives reacted this week exactly as they did when “WAP,” a celebration of female sexuality, was first published. The song has been labeled degrading, anti-feminist, vulgar and more. Still, the critics themselves have been noticeably less outraged by the sexually explicit song scores of male artists.
Cardi B responded in a tweet: “Imagine if the wap caused the fall of the American empire and not the North Korean bomb threats, terrorism, racism or bad government?”
“THAT WOULD BE SO ICONIC !!!” added. (In August, she referred the initial conservative uproar over his song with the same descriptor).
If you have popcorn and a lot of free time, the feud was still strong on Twitter at the time of writing this article.
