The customer vandalizes the antelope stop for an incorrect order: CBS Sacramento

ANTELOPE (CBS13): A violent reaction to a restaurant order caused chaos at a Wingstop in Antelope over the weekend.

The wings are supposed to be fiery, not the customers, but the cell phone video shows a wild man that the wings are bothered by his order. In a video captured by a witness, a man can be heard saying, “I don’t want the food, I don’t have time to wait for the food again, so now what do we do?”

You can hear an employee say to the man, “You can pick up the food and continue the day and stop calling my other manager because, no, it’s not mandatory.”

Tharon Trujillo, a customer of the store at the time, recorded the man grabbing the log and nailed him to the ground twice before throwing him out the window.

“I told him to calm down. I said, ‘You don’t want to go to jail, you don’t want to go to jail,’ “Trujillo said.

Trujillo said he heard the man say the restaurant gave him the wrong order twice. When the log went through the window, he says it was surrounded by glass.

“It simply came to our notice then [employees] they were definitely shaken back, the ladies behind were definitely shaken and they were like thank you for staying. It’s definitely not what you see every day, “he said.

The Wingstop restaurant manager says the man claimed he was missing several wings and wanted a refund, which according to company policy is not allowed to place orders online.

Restaurant regulars who have experienced ordering issues in the past say they are surprised by the reaction.

“It is definitely shocking and overcompensating for five wings. But I understand his anger, definitely not his actions, ”said client Jason Prado.

His wife Christina Prado, also shocked by the video, said she feels bad for employees.

“This is really sad and unfortunate,” he said, “I feel bad for society. I think the pandemic is reaching people’s heads.”

Jennifer Johnson, who lives in the area, believes she is “angry” or not, the destruction goes too far.

“It’s crazy, I mean the wings are important, trust me. I love food, but it doesn’t matter, “Johnson said.” I have three kids and we go out all the time. Our orders are always messy, guess what? Hug him. “

According to witnesses, the man went out the door and walked away after breaking the window.

Testing the order now costs a potentially high price. The store manager tells CBS13 that it cost about $ 6,000 to replace the computer-operated registry and they are still waiting for a budget to fix the window.

Anything over $ 950 is considered vandalism a crime. According to the Sacramento County Sherriff’s Office, the damages qualify them for issuing a felony warrant for the man’s arrest.
