HOUSTON – A massage therapist in Houston has filed a civil lawsuit against Deshaun Watson, alleging misconduct at his home in March 2020 by quarterback Houston Texans.
The lawsuit, which was filed Tuesday night by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee and appeared Wednesday morning on the Harris District Secretary’s website, alleges that Watson “committed a civil assault.” when he touched the masseuse with his penis and that he caused “intentionally or consciously” physical contact with the plaintiff when Watson knew, or should have reasonably known, that the plaintiff would consider that contact offensive. “
Watson responded to Twitter’s lawsuit Tuesday night, saying it rejected “a lawsuit without a six-point settlement” and that it was “to erase my name, and I hope to do so.” At the time of his statement, Watson said he had not seen the lawsuit.
“I have never treated any woman with anything more than the utmost respect,” Watson said in his statement.
The lawsuit alleges that Watson booked a massage on March 30, 2020 with a masseuse who regularly works at his home. After leaving the room, the masseuse alleges, she found Watson lying on the massage table again with only a small towel covering the groin area.
The lawsuit says the plaintiff “began to feel extremely uncomfortable” and “it became apparent that Watson wanted a massage for only one reason: sex.” He accuses Watson of exposing himself and later touching the woman.
In the lawsuit, the masseuse alleged that after asking Watson to leave, the quarterback stated she considered a threat. The lawsuit also says Watson sent her a text message apologizing.
The Texans issued a statement Wednesday saying they are aware of it.
“We were aware of a civil lawsuit related to Deshaun Watson through a post on social media last night,” the team statement said. “This is the first time we have heard the matter and we look forward to hearing from you soon. We take allegations of this nature seriously involving anyone in the Houston Texans organization. We will wait for more information before making further statements on this matter. incident. “
