Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 1.9.0 Patch Notes: First Birthday, Bunny Day and more

If you start the copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there should be an update that exceeds the game up to version 1.9.0. Alternatively, you can manually activate the update by accessing the game settings in the Switching Start menu.

When you have updated the latest version of the game, you will receive a birthday cake via email. Apart from that, players can also look forward to the return of Bunny Day on April 4, new seasonal items, an improved custom design and more.

Ver. 1.9.0 (released March 17, 2021)

The software has been updated if you see “Ver. 1.9.0 “at the top right of the title screen.

General updates

  • The Bunny Day seasonal event has been updated.
  • Additional support for Sanrio® Collaboration amiibo cards has been added.
  • New mileage exchange options have been added to the Nook stop.
    • Custom Design Pro Editor +
      • Adds additional custom design slots and new pattern options.
    • Custom designs portal *
      • Add access to the custom designs portal from the Custom Designs application.
  • The following content has also been added:
    • Additional seasonal items for limited time from Nook Shopping.
    • Nintendo Switch Online Subscription Article *.

* You must use a Nintendo Switch Online subscription (payment service) to use the Custom Design Portal and obtain the Nintendo Switch Online subscription item.

The issues have been resolved

  • Fixed a Ver issue. 1.4.0 where, if a player used a wand to transform, he would exchange his wand for another object while the pockets were full, the player would no longer be able to remove the transformation equipment.
  • Fixed a Ver issue. 1.7.0 which includes kits where a player could dig where he normally could not, if he changes his mind after using the “Let me imagine …” option.
  • Other adjustments and corrections were made to improve the gaming experience.
