The woman busted to enter the home of Staten Island star of Saturday Night Live, Pete Davidson, had previously sent him a shower of unwanted gifts, prosecutors revealed in court Friday – while a judge gave an order of restriction to the suspect.
Michelle Mootreddy sat behind a white metal bar screen while accused of burglary, rape, harassment and harassment during the virtual hearing in the Richmond County Criminal Court, before being released on probation.
“In this case, the defendant was involved in conduct that involved numerous cases of persecution, including sending letters and packages to Peter Davidson’s home, as well as entering the house without permission,” the prosecutor said. district deputy, Matthew Stupp.
Judge Ronald Castorina Jr. released Mootreddy on supervised release after the brief hearing, while issuing a restraining order in favor of Davidson, his younger sister Casey Davidson and his mother Amy Waters.
“The court issues a full protection order,” the judge told Mootreddy. “You understand it?”
“Yes,” he replied in a more astute voice.
Mootreddy, who once issued a press release stating that she and the comic were hooked, showed up at her home around 3pm on Thursday when he was not home.
She knocked on the door and a woman who answered told the fan hit by the stars to leave, but Mootreddy snuck past the house, slipped through a side door and entered the kitchen, according to a criminal complaint.
The woman who answered the door, Marjorie Agostino, again told Mootreddy to write, authorities reported.
“I’m here for Pete. Pete told me to come here, ”Mootreddy stated.
When police officers showed up, Mootreddy told them he had a “telepathic love connection” with the 27-year-old entertainer, police sources said.
At some point in the strange interaction, Mootreddy allegedly told Davidson’s mother that she was responsible for the packages and letters she had received at the Holdridge Avenue home since Oct. 31.
Augustine’s relationship with Davidson was not immediately clear. He was also given a protection order against the suspect.
If convicted on the maximum charge, Mootreddy faces 15 years in prison.
