HOUSTON – Houston police are responding to a disturbance Saturday afternoon at the Galleria Mall, according to officials.
Police said people are running through the Gallery, located at 5100 Westheimer Road. The incident happened near the Macys, police said.
According to Twitter users, there was a possible shooting at the mall.
About an hour later, HPD said there was no confirmation of a shooting, that no casualties had been counted, according to a city official on Twitter.
I just spoke to a Houston Police Department public information officer. There is no confirmation of a shooting. No casualties were reported. They still talk to people, but it could have been a fake report. We will wait to see.
