Sharon Osbourne is reportedly demanding a payment of tens of millions to leave her host job at The Talk, amid allegations that she made racist comments.
CBS’s daytime chat program remains at least until March 29 as network executives investigate claims against Osbourne, which she strongly denies.
The controversy began with an air debate in which Osbourne defended Meghan Markle’s criticism of her friend Piers Morgan. Now, a confidant says Osbourne will enforce the contractual provisions strictly if he is forced to leave the program.
“He has a contract and they will have to pay him if they want him to leave, and that will cost them tens of millions,” a person close to Osbourne told The Sun. “If the bosses expect him to go quietly, he’ll have something else.”

The person added, “She is furious at the numerous accusations made against her and refuses to bow to the growing pressure to leave.”
“As for her, she apologized for the on-air debate and has done nothing more wrong,” the source added.
During an episode of The Talk that aired a week and a half ago, Osbourne defended his friend Morgan in relation to his criticism of Markle, which led her to say, “I feel very close to being put in the electric chair because I have a friend, who a lot of people think is a racist, so that makes me a racist?
This led to a powder keg with co-host Sheryl Underwood, who was stunned by the fierce Osbourne defense.
Since then, several allegations of Osbourne’s behavior have clouded his future with the program.
One of the allegations CBS is investigating is whether or not Osbourne called ex-girlfriend Julie Chen a “wonton,” an accusation that Osbourne says is “shit.”
“Everyone has an opinion or a story like Wonton’s,” Osbourne told DailyMail.com earlier this week. “It’s like you’re with your f ** king story. F ** k out! ‘

The Talk was to return to the airwaves on March 22, presumably with all the usual hosts in place, but PEOPLE reported this weekend that the show will remain stalled until at least March 29th.
Osbourne also defended himself last week and told DailyMail.com: “Of course it’s a lot. People want to add fuel to the fire and it comes with the territory and it’s okay.
A report by Yashar Ali also alleged that Osbourne called former co-host Sara Gilbert a “fish eater,” among other things; Gilbert is a lesbian.
Osbourne has also been accused of calling former co-hosts Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete a “ghetto.”
“In situations like this, you’ll always get people with whom you’ve had disagreements in the past, people who have axes to grind, who come out of the wood and come out with their BS and that’s it. I’m not surprised at all. It doesn’t surprise me.” , said Osbourne.
“It is no joke to accuse them of racism. Now they get their sweet revenge. I can’t even address it because they are children in the school yard ”.

Osbourne believes she will likely lose her job at The Talk after research on her.
“I think they will use me as a sacrificial lamb and fire me. That’s all right. That’s all right. It hasn’t happened yet, but I’m sure it has.
I don’t know what they will do. It’s a big, ugly mess. But I didn’t start it. I didn’t start it. It depends on the producers of the program.
Earlier this week, representatives of The Talk released a statement about the show.
‘CBS is committed to a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace in all of our productions. We are also very aware of the important concerns expressed and the discussions about events in The Talk. This includes a process where all voices are heard, claims are investigated and appropriate action is taken when necessary. ”
