According to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport, the Pittsburgh Steelers lose a second outside defender to the Tennessee Titans. First, the Titans sign Bud Dupree with a huge free agent contract and now they plan to sign Ola Adeniyi with a one-year contract.
Adeniyi fell completely out of favor with the Steelers coaches last season. After showing some promise at the start of the season, Adeniyi saw almost no cheating when Dupree broke his ACL. The team turned to Alex Highsmith and Adeniyi was the weird man. Adeniyi was a restricted free agent, but the team chose not to offer him.
In Tennessee, Adeniyi should have more chances to play, but the certainty that Adeniyi will not return means Pittsburgh must add depth to the position behind TJ Watt and Highsmith.
