Department of Health Secretary Carlos Mellado has assured that if the Government of Puerto Rico continues to receive the number of coronavirus vaccines, COVID-19, in two weeks it could be opening up the process to the entire population.
In an interview with Playing Hard Ball, Mellado indicated that this could happen “if all goes well and received Jansen’s.” The Jansen vaccine is the one created by Johnson & Johnson.
“This week we were given more than three thousand three-vaccines, my expectation was to be able to have the same amount I have of the others, which I have 32 thousand from Modern and 42 thousand from Pfizer,” the official added.

At a press conference, Mellado announced today the expansion of ages with access to COVID vaccines, allowing people aged 35 to 49 with chronic diseases and anyone aged 50 or over.
