Kamala Harris and Bill Clinton will talk about the impact of the pandemic on women

Vice President Harris and former President Clinton will meet Friday in an individual conversation, as part of the 13th annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative University, where they will discuss the effect of the pandemic on women.

The meeting, held in collaboration with Howard University, Harris’s alma mater, will feature “An Individual Conversation with President Clinton and Vice President Kamala HarrisKamala Harris The Hill’s Morning Report – Biden: Back to the future on immigration, Afghanistan, Iran Future of the GOP? The Art, the Promise, and the Lesson of Politics Harris Seeks His Own Unique Path to the White House MORE on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on women and the empowerment of women and girls in the United States and around the world, ”according to a statement from the Clinton Foundation.

The conversation is scheduled to begin at 3:25 p.m.

The virtual meeting “will bring together 600 students from around the world who are committed to acting: new, specific, measurable initiatives that address urgent challenges,” the Clinton Foundation wrote.

The conference will explore topics on restoring faith in democracy, environmental justice, recovering COVID-19, and creating systemic change, according to the Clinton Foundation.

The event, which runs Tuesday through Friday, is hosted by former President Clinton, Chelsea Clinton and Howard University.

The Clinton Global Initiative University, launched in 2007, is a leadership development program led by the Clinton Foundation to “engage the next generation of leaders and builds on the belief that no one is too young to make a difference and create a positive change in according to the Clinton Foundation statements.
