Faced with labor shortages to work in Puerto Rico’s agricultural sector, a group of Mexicans came to the island to fill that gap.
This was reported by the Consulate General of Mexico in Puerto Rico, who in a post on their social networks celebrated the arrival of those who “will be cultivating the food that will go to the table of thousands of Puerto Ricans.”
We recommend:
“This group of Mexicans from the Margaritas, Chiapas traveled to Puerto Rico to work on farms in the Guánica area,” reads part of the publication accompanied by photographs of the group.
Assuring them fills them with pride, he added in the message that “the Mexican people are distinguished for being working people.”
