Jeremy Fowler recently broken down the key free agency moves for each NFL team into a feature for ESPN. What thoughts did you have about the San Francisco 49ers? While the team strengthened the offensive line with the new signing of Trent Williams and the addition of Alex Mack and the key players in the new signing, such as winger Kyle Juszczyk and corner Jason Verrett, the writer of ESPN seems to be waiting for a move to bolster another position.
“The 49ers live up to the quarterback,” Fowler wrote. “They had extensive conversations with (Joe) Flacco, who started with Kyle Shanahan during a visit last week before finally choosing Philly.”
According to reports, San Francisco would also be part of Andy Dalton before the Chicago Bears signed the quarterback. Fowler reports that the team spoke with Mitch Trubisky’s representatives before he joined the Buffalo Bills. It looks like the 49ers are trying to improve on safety points behind starter Jimmy Garoppolo, who missed 10 games last season due to ankle injuries and 23 games in the last three seasons.
Fowler adds this piece: “Rumors persist that Jacksonville quarterback Gardner Minshew II could be in his plans through the trade.”
RELATED The 49ers should be replaced by an AFC South quarterback
While the “rumors” don’t point to the reported interest, it’s an interesting statement. Minshew has 20 games of initial experience in his two NFL seasons, has pitched for 5,530 yards with 37 touchdowns with 11 interceptions during that period and plans to earn $ 850,000 on salary this season. This is a bargain for an experienced quarterback.
Minshew started eight games last season, but the Jaguars are expected to shoot Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 general election.
As for the possibility of upgrading from Garoppolo, right now there aren’t too many options outside of a possible pipe dream or two.
“Watson would be a (choice), of course,” Fowler added. “But he has almost nothing to do. So for now, San Francisco can focus on adding to the quarterback room and adjusting from there.”

Jimmy Garoppolo has started in a Super Bowl. His record is 24-9 as the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, including the playoffs. Still, no matter how much the team says Garoppolo is expected to be the quarterback in 2021, there is still uncertainty surrounding his future. Garoppolo missed 23 games in the last three seasons may have something to do with it. He missed 13 games in 2018 after suffering an ACL injury. The quarterback lost 10 last season due to ankle injuries. He has lost almost as many games with the 49ers as he has won, which has caused many to question his durability. Kyle Juszczyk, who had just re-signed with the 49ers, joined SiriusXM on Tuesday and was asked about his quarterback and the scrutiny he has endured. Is it like that

The San Francisco 49ers were reportedly hosting visiting quarterback Joe Flacco on Thursday. The team considers him a veteran replacement for Jimmy Garoppolo, who lost ten games last season due to injury. Flacco spent 11 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens before spending one season each with the Denver Broncos and New York Jets for the past two years. Could San Francisco be Flacco’s last stop in his NFL career? He has great experience. He has won a Super Bowl (unfortunately against the 49ers) and has been named MVP of the game. A former teammate, winger Kyle Juszczyk, hopes to be able to reunite with Flacco. He even admits to doing some recruiting on behalf of the 49ers and says Flacco is excited about the

NFL Media draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah took a look at quarterback laces with NFL teams now that the initial frenzy of free agencies is behind us. Viouslybviament, he has Trevor Lawrence going to the Jacksonville Jaguars with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. He also expects Zach Wilson to land with Robert Saleh and the New York Jets with the next selection. That would make current Jets quarterback Sam Darnold dispensable. Where do you see Jeremies as a good fit for the former No. 3 general team? The San Francisco 49ers. Jeremiah points out that the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos also make a lot of sense. Still, none of these teams are as well built to win now

DJ Jones feels blessed. He received a nice little salary from the San Francisco 49ers after earning $ 825,000 in 2020. Jones signed a one-year deal that will pay him $ 3.5 million in 2021. “I’m speaking from the heart.” Jones told reporters Tuesday. “I’ve never been disappointed in God and I follow Him in all walks of life, so this is one more step in my journey, so I can’t question him.
