A 44-year-old Brazilian man who was not expected to live more than 24 hours after being born upside down has now had to stop his life after taking COVID-19, according to a report.
Claudio Vieira de Oliveira, of Monte Santo, suffers from multiple congenital arthrogryposis, a rare condition that has left his head turned upside down, according to the American Sun.
It has also left him with muscular atrophy in his legs and arms attached to his chest, but it has not stopped him from living a satisfying life and becoming a motivating speaker.
“I’ve never had (difficulties), my life is normal,” he told the local G1 press.
But the ambitious, fun-loving man has made the mistake and has had to stay home.
“I am in my forties because this COVID is very aggressive, it is lethal, so we are afraid. Save me, God, from this damn disease, ”Oliveira told the dam.
“I have more than twice as a precaution, I have been isolating myself for over a year and I just leave home to fix things that only I can do, such as banking,” he added.
Claudinho, as is well known, has never let his condition hold him back and walks on his knees since he was 7 years old. He learned to read and write at his mother’s house.
And, despite its acute deformity, it has no problems seeing, breathing, eating or drinking.
Claudinho has also released a DVD, an autobiography and delivered motivational speeches since 2000, so being welcoming has been a challenge.
“I miss him so much. I have a speech in the municipality of Bezerra, in the state of Pernamubco, scheduled for April 28th. If the pandemic subsides, we will move forward, ”he said.
Claudinho, a volunteer for the Cheer Christian Christian project for vulnerable children, told local media: “I want to give my talks again and live many years.”
