Xuxa pauses for a long time and looks down. Then, she clarifies that she did not live this story, but many other Brazilians who today are facing the death of loved ones.

“We are in the worst moment of the Covid-19 pandemic. The hospitals are full. There are no more doctors. There is no way to open beds anymore. Money is no longer a solution,” says the artist, who this day marks 58 years.

He also calls on Brazilians to follow all biosecurity measures: use a mask, physical distancing and hand washing. A couple of days ago, Brazilian authorities recorded more than 3,000 daily deaths from COVID-19.
