Twenty of the 42 assortments that are within the basic table of medicines of country, are guaranteed by the ten farms that in Ciego de Ávila tax to the Program of Natural and Traditional Medicine, has reported Imayasil Ulloa Trujillo, specialist in Medicinal Plants of the Delegation Provincial of Agriculture in this territory.
Miracle Barris González, director of research, development and innovation of Labiofam in Ciego de Ávila, told the Cuban News Agency, that his organization supports the basic table of drugs with various preparations, including antihypertensives , cardio-circulatory, digestive, antispasmodic, antiasthmatic and expectorant, which are made from natural plants.

Such preparations are made in the form of tea, using holy cane, guava, oregano, kidney tea, chamomile and sage, among other plants, delimited Barris González.
The Natural and Traditional Medicine Program in Ciego de Ávila has a guarantee of sufficient plant mass to make these drugs, which are used in the treatment of many diseases and are one more option in the absence of drugs.
In 2021, the companies Pharmacy and Optics and Labiofam, demand a greater amount of vegetal mass, between which excel aloe, majagua, oregano, onion, wall, tell, passionera, guava, sweet orange, mangrove swamp and chamomile, with the purpose of make anti-catarrhal preparations and syrups.
The Labiofam Company, in Ciego de Ávila, is also researching a wide portfolio of products, from medicinal plants, to respond to the demands of agriculture and veterinary and human medicine in the country.

According to the director of Research, Development and Innovation of Labiofam in avileño territory, the agricultural system constitutes the main customer of his entity, so that give solution to the difficulties that can face those that produce meat, milk, eggs, as well as meats and vegetables, is a fundamental goal of its entity.
In the line of bioproducts for the Agriculture work in three natural insecticides: one with base of rosemary, another with Flower of Jamaica and a third with the tree of Neem. “For veterinary use we develop an antimicrobial lotion with rosemary; a tincture that removes ticks and fleas in pets with Neem tree; a shampoo also for pets with aloe vera and a nutritional supplement with Jamaican flower seeds for poultry, ”said Miracles Barris.
Among the natural products that investigate for human purposes are the effectiveness or not of rosemary as a pediculicidal lotion, and the Jamaican flower as a disinfectant, the researcher added.
