It was unclear which bullet hit the viewer.
None of the police officers involved were injured, police said. The two gunmen were still pending indictment, and on Saturday night no more suspects were asked.
Police did not immediately disclose the names of anyone involved.
Arriving police officers “observed two males, each armed with a firearm, unloading their firearm at a third man who was fleeing and running towards the officers,” Lehr said.
The suspects fled down the street and turned onto College Ave.
“Right now, they find two uniformed officers in a standing position,” Lehr said.
“The gunmen threw their weapons under a nearby van and were arrested without incident.”

Photographs of the scene show neighbors walking around the crime scene where there were about a dozen bullets scattered on the sidewalk.
“I just heard gunshots and I threw myself on the ground. I stood in the doorway and saw someone lying in the middle of the street, “witness Mike Hernandez told The Post.
“Trust me, it was a lot of shooting. It was a lot of shooting, ”said Hernandez, a 26-year-old worker at El Pollo # 1 Deli Grocery at the intersection.
“I don’t even know what to tell you honestly,” he added. “It’s not the first time I’ve seen things like this before. It’s nothing new. “
